To All My Exceptional Patients,

 

It is with mixed emotions that I write this letter. My time at East Pointe Dental is coming to an end in June. I am handing the reins over to two exceptional dentists; Heather Jones from Charlottetown, PEI and Whitney Weisshaar from Tecumseh, Ontario. These two not only have excellent clinical skills, but they also have the warmth, compassion and sense of family that this practice is built on.

Shortly after Covid in 2020 I turned 60 and decided that if the right candidate(s) came along, I would pass the torch and start the next phase of my life. There has been a lot of interest in this practice over the years, but I am fussy and I want the next dentist(s) to continue to spoil the dental team and keep the “family practice” feel in the office. I am not a fan of the corporate dental offices which are buying up a lot of the offices in our area.

Dr. Whitney Weisshaar, a Tecumseh local, and Dr. Heather Jones, originally from Prince Edward Island, both graduated from the University of British Columbia Faculty of Dentistry in 2013.  After years of sharing a commitment to patient-centred care, they are thrilled to be joining the team at East Pointe Dental Clinic.  Now proud to call Tecumseh home, they look forward to being a part of the community and helping families maintain healthy and happy smiles for years to come.

You will continue to see the same dental team as this transition takes place and I will play a smaller role in your dental treatment and help as much as I can in the coming years.

​

As I said before, you are all like family and I will miss each and everyone of your smiling faces. I will be turning 65 in a couple of months and I am ready to start my “golden years” with my husband Jerry and our amazing animals!! Change can be stressful but I am confident that these ladies are the perfect fit for your dental office.
